Herefordshire County Council have commissioned a RouteMapper survey to cover the bulk of their road network. All A roads, B roads and C roads throughout the county are to be covered along with a selection of the unclassified network. The total for this survey amounts to approximately 3200km.
The aim of the commission is to populate the Council’s Pavement Management System (PMS) with a maintainable inventory of highway related assets obtained from the video. This will enable the Council’s Transport Asset Management Plan (TAMP) objectives to be achieved in this area, helping guide the progress and prioritisation of works on the networkThe desktop browser will be used to complete a full inventory of roadside assets and provide a carraigeway condition assessment.
