Cambridge County Council have secured a RouteMapper survey.
The purpose of the video survey is to create an asset inventory of the road side infrastructure throughout the county. Initially the project was only to cover the A and B road network, however, it has now been expanded to cover the C road network throughout the county as well.
In total the coverage of the survey is 1290km.
The RouteMapper Desktop browser will be used to digitise the inventory for all the roads. The database has been configured exactly to match the inventory schema devised by Cambridge County Council.
The project started in November 2011.
